Dr. Benza lives in Sandy Springs with her husband, two daughters and a dog. Her special interests include developmental behavioral pediatrics, preventive medicine and teaching medical students. Although born in the U.S., Dr. Benza moved with her family to Peru as a small child.

Dr. Benza completed medical school in Peru, obtained her pediatric training through Children’s Hospital of Michigan, where she also completed a year as chief resident, followed by a year of Assistant Program Director combined with Private Practice.

Dr. Benza relocated to Atlanta in 2017 in search of the sun, joined Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in 2017, where she had the opportunity to use her bilingual skills and work closely with Emory medical students.

In addition to her work as a pediatrician, Dr. Benza enjoys running, doing lots of fun activities with her family and organizing social events.
