Dr. Brutus-Darius is a Board Certified Pediatrician with over 30yrs of experience, and a particular affinity for community pediatrics. She joined the medical staff at Children’s Health Care of Atlanta in 2003 until 2020 with admitting privileges at Egleston and Scottish Rite Children’s Medical Centers. Together with a very talented partner, Dr. Natalia Benza, she is undertaking a new path, by opening a private pediatric practice.

Dr. Brutus-Darius began her medical career at New York University with an undergraduate degree in Biology. She received her Medical Degree (Cum Laude) in 1985 from Universidad Mundial Dominicana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She did her internship and residency at New York Medical College, Metropolitan Hospital.

Following her training, she remained at Metropolitan Hospital and the Center for Comprehensive Health Practice until 1994, where she worked both as a Primary and Urgent Care Physician in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. Thereafter, Dr. Brutus-Darius joined the medical staff at Ryan Nena Community Health Center until 1999.  She was an adjunct faculty at the City University of New York Sophie Davis School of Medicine from 1998-1999, where she helped develop and implement a health center-based primary care curriculum.

Dr. Brutus- Darius joined Children’s Health Care of Atlanta from St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital and the Family Health Center of Newburgh in New York, where she worked as an attending physician and a primary care physician respectively. She worked as a primary care physician at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for 17 years, and was adjunct Faculty for the OPEX program at Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Brutus-Darius is married, and has 2 daughters.
